Abnormally low testosterone levels are associated with a loss of libido. No question about that. Higher testosterone levels, on the other hand, are associated with sexual desire and excitability in both sexes, and with muscle gain and athletic appearance in men.
Therefore many men think: let's take some testosterone and enjoy its benefits.
But it doesn't work that way. Sure, those who take anabolic steroids can achieve a more athletic appearance. But using anabolic steroids, or just going on a testosterone replacement therapy with testosterone patches, creams, or injections will not lift a person's libido if that person hasn't been severely testosterone-deficient to start with.
If you are a man, and you are not clinically deficient of testosterone (because you were castrated, for example), then testosterone replacement therapy won't elevate your libido.
On the other hand, you can produce a clear negative side effect with anabolic steroids, testosterone cream, testosterone patches, and testosterone injections: the exogenous testosterone will cause testicular and penile atrophy. This means; your vital organ and your balls will shrink, and the longer you take testosterone or anabolic steroids, the smaller both will get.
I guess that most athletes who compete in bodybuilding contests (and have an unnatural appearance) have been taking anabolic steroids and high-dosage testosterone, though they may be off the "juice" when appearing in a competition. But they will still have to wear fillers in their underwear so to create the impression that they definitely are men.
The point is: those who abuse anabolic steroids and use testosterone will cause their penises and testicles to shrink to a size they were when these men were 7 or 8 years old. This is the case because exogenous testosterone will shut down the body's own testosterone production in the Leydig cells of the testicles.
If the Leydig cells are not stimulated by the hypothalamus and pituitary gland to synthesize testosterone because there is already so much testosterone (or an anabolic steroid) circulating in a man's blood, then the testes and penis will degenerate.
Now, the next time you see a bodybuilder who looks unnaturally muscular, imagine him without underwear. There won't be much of a penis and balls. Maybe a penis the size of a small finger. And balls that look like earlobes.
And mind you: exogenous testosterone (testosterone that does not come from a man's Leydig cells in the testicles) is, apart from condoms and vasectomy, the only proven male birth control method. Supply enough exogenous testosterone or anabolic steroids, as tablets, capsules, creams, patches, or injections, and you do not only cause penile and testicular atrophy but also infertility.
The point is: if you want to enhance testosterone, you have to activate your body's own testosterone factories. For a man, these are the testicles. If you can kick-start them into a high gear of testosterone production, you can have it all: improved libido, a super fertility, a more athletic appearance, and not just your current penis and testicle size, but an increase in that department, too. Look like a bull, be hung like a bull, be fertile like a bull, and have a sex drive like a bull. And no bullshit.
There is only one substance with which you can achieve this: tongkat ali. Provided you get a proper tongkat ali extract in a proper dosage, and not that totally under-dosed junk that is sold out of Malaysia (or Arizona) and typically found on the shelves of many health-food stores. Your best bet for genuine tongkat ali is an Indonesian source.
To summarize the changes between exogenous testosterone (tablets, creams, patches, or injections) and tongkat ali:
Exogenous testosterone (especially anabolic steroids) can make you look unnaturally muscular, tongkat ali, combined with exercise can give you a proportional athletic look.
Exogenous testosterone causes your penis and testicles to shrink, tongkat ali will cause them to grow in size.
Exogenous testosterone makes you infertile, tongkat ali is used for fertility by Indonesian men and women (family size is often more than 10 children).
Exogenous testosterone may or may not support libido, tongkat ali has been used as an aphrodisiac for hundreds of years.
Exogenous testosterone is for castrates, tongkat ali is for everyone.

No joke: this scientific article first acknowledges that testosterone has a vital function where it is produced (in the balls), and then suggests that the testicular shrinkage caused by testosterone injections or patches be concealed by silastic prosthesis.
